Assessment & Reporting

At Streeton Primary School, we take a consistent, whole-school approach to assessing and reporting student progress throughout the year.

Our teaching model, Explicit Direct Instruction (EDI), includes daily opportunities for teachers to check for understanding during lessons. This allows us to see how well students are grasping new concepts and make any necessary adjustments to the teaching content to ensure every child can achieve their best.

In addition to daily checks, teachers conduct regular assessments each term in key subjects such as English and Maths. These assessments help us monitor student progress and identify any areas where extra support might be needed.

Twice a year, we carry out more formal assessments and share a detailed progress report with parents. This report provides an overview of your child’s learning, growth, and achievements.

We believe strong communication between school and home is essential. Parents are invited to attend Parent/Teacher interviews each semester to discuss their child’s progress. However, you are welcome to contact your child’s teacher at any time if you have questions or concerns about their learning. We’re here to support your child’s journey every step of the way.
